Where can a player get the Lotto draw results?

The Lotto results are available from any National Lottery agent, on this website by clicking here and by contacting the National Lottery directly.

 
 

What time do the Lotto terminal close at on draw days?

The terminals close at 7.45pm each Wednesday and Saturday and reopens just after the draw at approximately 8pm .

 

Is there a Lotto subscription service?

No, the National Lottery does not currently operate a subscription service.

 

What is the best way to set up a syndicate? 

The National lottery does not give specific advice regarding the setting up of syndicates as every group has their own requirements and ideas. However, we do suggest that syndicates agree a set of rules that suit their particular group regarding, for example, the collection of monies, what to do if someone leaves the syndicate etc.

 

What time is the EuroMillions Draw break?

Sales of EuroMillions close at 7.30pm on a Friday and reopen on Saturday morning at 7am.

 

Can a player claim a Euromillions prize on a ticket bought in another country?

No. To claim a prize in Ireland the ticket must be purchased in the Republic of Ireland.

 

How can a player claim a prize for a ticket bought in one of the other EuroMillions countries?

For details on how to claim a prize in the various countries, players will need to contact the lottery in question. The following countries operate the EuroMillions Lottery, should you purchase a ticket in any of these countries you will have to claim your prize in that country where you purchased your ticket;

Where can a player get the results of the Euromillions draw?

You can watch the draw on TG4 at 9.25pm approximately on a Friday night. The results of the Euromillions draw are available from any National Lottery agent, on this website by clicking here and by contacting the National Lottery directly.

 

What colour envelope do you use to send in a 3 star entry for TV Gameshow participation?

The blue or green envelopes which are available at your local National Lottery agent should be used.

 

Even though Big Money TV gameshow is over, can I enter my 3 star ticket into the Winning Streak TV gameshow draw?

Yes. Your Big Money 3 star entry can be entered into the Winning Streak TV Gameshow.

 

I have received a letter by e-mail or post claiming to be from the National Lottery claiming I have won money in various lotteries around the world or EuroMillions. What do I do?

 

The National Lottery does not send such letters/emails. To win and claim a prize in any National Lottery game you must be in possession of a prize winning ticket.

 

It has been reported that members of the public have received correspondence by e-mail or letter claiming to come from a variety of lotteries advising them that they have won a substantial amount of money. Such correspondence often requests the addressee’s personal and bank details.

 

You are strongly advised not to respond to any such correspondence or to send money.

 

How do I stop SMS Lotto results being sent to me?

The National Lottery currently does not offer a SMS Lotto or EuroMillions results service. If you are receiving Lotto or EuroMillions results to your phone, you will need to contact the company providing the service to you in order to stop them.

Can I play Lottery Games online?

Yes, you can play Lottery games online if you are over 18. National Lottery currently offer Lotto, Lotto Plus, EuroMillions along a selection of instant win games to play online.

 

Are there charges for using a credit card to play online?

The National Lottery and most of the main financial institutions do not charge for uploading funds from your credit card to the Play Online wallet.  However, it has been brought to our attention that some credit card providers treat this as a cash advance and charge accordingly. We suggest you check with your credit card provider prior to adding funds to your wallet.
