This race will take place on Irish Derby Day at The Curragh Racecourse on Sunday 27 June 2010. This race is the richest sprint handicap in Ireland.
Draw Details
On Sunday 20 June 2010, after sales of the Sweepstakes game have closed, a preliminary draw will take place at National Lottery offices in Dublin to select the 200 prize winning Sweepstakes tickets from all tickets sold. From these 200 tickets, the top 25 Sweepstakes tickets will be drawn at random. The remaining 175 ticket holders will win prizes ranging from €5,000 to €100.
On Saturday 26 June 2010, each of the top 25 Sweepstakes ticket holders will be allocated a horse, through a random supervised draw, which will run in the first-ever National Lottery Sweepstakes Race on Irish Derby Day, Sunday 27 June 2010. Depending on the outcome of that race, the top 25 winners will each win prizes ranging from €10,000 to the top prize of €1 million. Prizes for the second and third National Lottery Sweepstakes winners are €500,000 (2nd place) and €250,000 (3rd place).
From Friday 25 June 2010, the top 25 Sweepstakes winners will be treated to a VIP weekend at the luxurious K Club Hotel. They will be invited to the Irish Derby Ball in the K Club on Saturday 26 June 2010 and enjoy a lavish Winners’ Lunch in a special National Lottery Winner’s Pavilion at the Curragh prior to the National Lottery Sweepstakes Race on Sunday 27 June 2010.

Sweepstakes ticket sales close in National Lottery agent stores at 6pm on Sunday 20 June 2010, or beforehand if all tickets are sold. Tickets are priced at €20 and are on sale from today from Lotto agent stores countrywide.
National Lottery good causes will benefit from the National Lottery Sweepstakes draw, with one third of all sales (approx) going to fund Beneficiary projects around the country, as designated by Government.
Since the National Lottery was launched, over €3.4 billion has been raised for good causes. This level of funding has made a significant difference to communities, projects and individuals in the areas of Youth, Sports, Recreation, Amenities, Health, Welfare, Arts, Culture, National Heritage and the Irish Language.
